    Summary of duties and responsibilities:
    Responsible for conducting ground training related to the aeronautical knowledge requirements for all levels of pilot/instructor certification.

    Primary duties and responsibilities:
    1. Conduct ground instruction under FAR Parts 141 and 61
    2. Maintain student training records in accordance with FAR Part 141 and TPAA policies
    3. Maintain training standards as set forth by FAA regulation and TPAA company policy
    4. Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

    Education, prior work experience, and specialized skill and knowledge:
    Must meet all applicable FAR Part 141 minimums.
    Must hold either a current CFI/CFII or AGI and IGI certificate.
    Previous classroom instruction experience preferred.

  • PROFESSIONAL AVIATION COMMUNICATION ENGLISH INSTRUCTOR | Posted 07/27/10
    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    * The development and maintenance of course syllabi
    * Development and execution of dynamic PACE (Professional Aviation
    Communication English) lessons
    * Collecting and monitoring data related to cadets' PACE training
    * Coordinating and cooperating with Team Leaders, Ground Instructors, and Pre-PPL Instructors to ensure each cadet acquires a complete understanding of aviation specific communication vocabulary, pronunciation, and comprehension.

    Requirements:
    Candidate must possess the experience and skills necessary to motivate and convey knowledge to both groups and individuals in a classroom setting. Must be able to effectively review and/or relate aviation communication related materials to cadets.

    Minimum of two years teaching required in ESL and/or cross-cultural students. Aviation experience preferred and helpful, but not necessary for entry level position.

    Strong computer skills including MS Office proficiency.

  • Aircraft Inspector | Posted 07/09/10
    Aircraft Inspector needed at TransPac Aviation Academy at the DVT airport full time. Part 145 repair station working on Piper Archers and Seminoles with Lycoming engines. The current open shift is a 3 day work week Friday to Sunday 5pm-5:30am. Ideal applicant would have 5+ years of general aviation, piston piper experience and IA however not necessary. Must have A&P, a good understanding of FARs 145, 91, 43, 21, 23, AC43.13-1B, inspection techniques and industry standards. Needs to be a team player. Pay is negotiable. Shift differential for nights and for weekends. Health benefits, 401k, disability etc. PTO.
