There's a reason TransPac Aviation Academy is based in the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix, Arizona. With an average annual high of 87°F, an average annual low of 61°F and an average annual precipitation of .69 inches, Phoenix flight training is rarely delayed for inclement weather.

The Phoenix metro area contains a mix of both controlled and uncontrolled airspace. The uncontrolled airspace is located a very short flight from our campuses and provides a convenient location for practicing flight maneuvers without distractions. Entering the class "B" controlled airspace around the Phoenix Sky Harbor airport requires pilots to be on top of their game. Being exposed to the busy and complex class "B" airspace is critical for the formation of a professional pilot.

An added advantage to Arizona flight training is the number of available airports. TransPac utilizes over a dozen different airports in the immediate Phoenix area for local training, allowing access to a variety of airports and instrument procedures. This keeps training interesting and provides plenty of practical experience. Arizona and the surrounding states present a diverse mix of weather conditions and destinations that are ideal for cross country training.
